Diabetes study for patients with diabetes and renal impairment who are currently using basal insulin with or without Metformin or SGLT2 inhibitors

We are seeking participants with type 2 diabetes who use insulin and whose diabetes has affected kidney function and are interested in trying out a new medication that is expected to improve blood sugar control and prevent the weight gain (or induce weight loss) associated with increased insulin use. Compensation for time and travel are provided.

Medical Device Removing Excess Tissue in Digestive System in Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes on Insulin Therapy

This is a clinical research study opportunity for people with Type 2 Diabetes using long-acting insulin. In this study, we want to learn more about an innovative approach for improving diabetes outcomes using Fractyl Health's Revita System for removing excess tissue from the small intestine. This minimally invasive procedure is believed to improve blood sugar control and overall metabolic health by altering the body's hormonal response to food intake in a similar way to that achieved with bypass surgery. Team Science Protein Supplement Pilot Study

Ozempic Study

We are doing this study to learn if a medication commonly used for weight loss and blood sugar control affects responses to nicotine. This will provide information about whether the medication might be helpful for people who smoke cigarettes. This is not a treatment study, and it is not intended for people who are actively trying to quit smoking.

Minds & Milkshakes

In this study, we want to learn if a medication commonly used for weight loss and blood sugar control affects how people respond to alcohol. This will help us to learn if this medication may be helpful for people who drink alcohol. This is not a treatment study, and it is not intended for people who are actively trying to quit drinking.

IgA Nephropathy Microbiome Study

The purpose of this study is to compare diet (record of the foods you eat), gut microbiome (stool sample), and cells (blood sample) in adults with IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) and compare with adults with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and adults with no history of medical problems. The information we learn by doing this study may help us understand how we might be able to target the microbiome to better understand the disease process and potentially help us develop new therapies in the future.

Improving chronic kidney disease in type 1 diabetes

Do you have Type 1 Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease as a result of your diabetes? Do you want stop or slow the progression of your kidney disease?
